It is extremely important that both you and your partner feel comfortable and confident with your Doula.  That is why I set up a free interview meeting. This is a great time for you to ask me any questions, as well as share what you and your partner are looking for in a Doula. Being part of your birth is a privilege and an honor.                                                        

Pre-Natal Visits                                                                   

I do two pre-natal visits.  This time is spent getting to know you and your partner better.  I ask more detailed questions regarding your pregnancy, expectation of birth, and discuss any fears and concerns that may arise.  I also like to take this time to learn more about what your birth partner's needs are and how to best support them.  We will review your birth plan and discuss in detail when I will be joining you during your labor.  Please allow at least an hour and a half for each visit. I also stay in touch with you by phone and am available to answer any questions. 

The Birth                                                    

I stay with you throughout your labor and provide mental, physical, and emotional support that is needed until baby is born and the first feeding has taken place.

Postpartum Visits

There are two Post-Natal visits. I will set an appointment to meet with you a few days after your birth, or when you arrive home. We can discuss any concerns you may be having over baby care, or breastfeeding. I can also provide you with additional resources that may be helpful to you.  Our second visit will be 3 weeks after baby’s birth, at which time we can review  your birth, and feedback can be given.
